This can be done by oneself; the main components that need to be replaced are the locator and other accessories, the connection plate, the air supply pipe, and the bayonet connector. Regarding the positioner, it depends on which brand you choose; manufacturers of control valves such as Yaskawa, Siemens, Samson, and SMC usually have them in stock. Once the positioner is chosen, corresponding connection plates will be needed. Wu Zhong Instruments should also have such connection plates available. You can ask them to send you coupling fittings, as well as stainless steel or copper pipes, which you can then bend and install on site yourself. As for debugging, generally, you can figure it out by reading the instruction manual; if you need further assistance, you can always ask me later.

Indeed, when replacing a positioner, it’s necessary to first determine the function of the valve. There are many types of positioners, with Fisher and Samson being the most commonly used ones.
It turns out that the valve was originally a Fisher positioner; it now needs to be replaced with a valve positioner manufactured by Wuzhong Instruments. Calibration will be required after the replacement
Buy a locator by yourself and replace it. I’ve replaced them with Siemens linear actuators before, but it’s a bit difficult to adjust Siemens actuators when used with valves from other manufacturers; it’s best to have someone who knows how to work with Siemens actuators.
Use the Azbil intelligent valve positioner AVP100; it’s quite cheap. With proper positive and negative feedback, it can automatically adjust the parameters in a user-friendly manner. It is used in both our atmospheric pressure units and sulfur processing units, with basically no failures.
It’s fine for you to use Yamaki; there’s no need to recommend a specific model. If it’s supposed to be explosion-proof, then you can’t kill it even by using 100!
But it would be great if it could be used. Fisher and Siemens models are too expensive; the mechanical ones from Yueqing are also a good option, but they require maintenance personnel with experience in tuning them.
