Is there any manufacturer or expert who can tell me whether, for this 475 model, it will stop working properly if not upgraded – resulting in a black screen or system crash – and only function normally after an upgrade? Has anyone encountered this problem?
It shouldn’t be the case. Failing to upgrade probably means that it’s impossible to read data when connecting to newer instruments, as the communication protocol might be too old and thus prevent communication. I don’t think the black screen and system crashes you mentioned are caused by not upgrading
A black screen and system crash are hardware failures; they have nothing to do with upgrades.
If the 475 controller is not upgraded, it may not be able to use higher-version instruments. It has nothing to do with your screen going black and the system crashing
