Do instrument manufacturers need TS certification?

I would like to ask the experienced professionals in this industry: as we all know, many of our instruments are used in pressure vessels. Do instrument manufacturers need to have TS certification? If the instrument manufacturer does not have such capabilities, is it necessary to purchase fittings such as flanges produced by suppliers with TS certification? Sure, I’ll clarify it!

It seems that instruments are not included in the categories for special equipment manufacturing licenses, right? Do you mean that if the manufacturer of the instruments does not have a license to produce pressure pipeline components, it cannot manufacture the flanges for those instruments on its own, and must instead purchase flanges produced by manufacturers that hold such licenses? Can’t I buy exercise equipment and process it myself? After all, flanges are just components on instruments, and many of them are non-standard flanges

In principle, that’s the case; the most important thing is to see how strict the relevant department in your factory is when it comes to pressure pipeline inspections – if they are strict, it might be required. This includes the flanges on the valves, especially those for the inlet side; some of them are ASME standard. These issues mainly depend on local regulations
