A bypass branch is connected in parallel to the flow meter; during purging, the flow meter branch is closed and the bypass branch is used – in other words, there are two cut-off paths.
Method 1: Before purging the flow meter, use engineer privileges to assign a normal simulated value to the flow rate. Method 2: Suppress the alarm at this point before purging the flow meter. Remember to restore it after the purging is complete.
