Is the range of temperature transmitters installed outdoors considered to take into account ambient temperatures below 0 degrees?
Temperature requirements exist, and it is necessary to consider installing a dedicated instrument insulation box.
What I mean is, for example, if I install a temperature transmitter outdoors and the parameters specified by the process are a normal temperature of 50 degrees, then choosing a range of 0–100 is sufficient. But in winter, when the ambient temperature drops to -20 degrees, does the range of my temperature transmitter need to take this ambient temperature into account? For example, choose -50~100?
Temperature transmitters have specific requirements regarding their operating environment, which are usually indicated on the nameplate. Within these specified ranges, the transmitter can function properly; outside these ranges, it may fail to work correctly.
