Due to high demand for the product, its price has soared; driven by profit considerations, the boss wants to start production earlier. However, the delivery time for gold-plated diaphragm transmitters imported from abroad is too long, which could delay the overall start date of production. Therefore, a temporary alternative needs to be found. Some people suggested using domestic brand fluorocarbon-coated 316 diaphragm transmitters, but none of the technical support engineers I know can say for sure how long such transmitters can function under these conditions – some say only 2–3 days before the diaphragm breaks. I hope those who have used un-gold-plated diaphragms in hydrogenation processes can offer some advice. If there are any other alternatives, please recommend them as well. It is required to have a short delivery time, stable performance, and be able to last for at least 50 days of use. Adjust the operating conditions: temperature around 135°C, pressure 15~18 MPa.
Please note: can the lining be used under such high pressure?
At this temperature, ceramics can be used, but with such high pressure, it’s probably not a good option. It’s still better to use the gold-plated one; it’s safer.
This plan was also conceived after consulting various parties as a last resort for emergency use; however, its feasibility still needs to be verified.
