Introduction to operating conditions: Routine level measurement for propylene spheres, with a range of 12.3 meters. V. Description of fault symptoms: After the major maintenance in the plant, the instruments do not display any readings. It showed normal before the major repair. VI. Safety measures before handling: Once it is detected that the instrument is not displaying any readings, its power supply should be cut off immediately to prevent greater damage resulting from a short circuit in the instrument. VII. Analysis of fault causes and reasoning approach: 1. Check whether the power supply matches the requirement specified on the instrument’s nameplate, in order to rule out issues with the power supply ； 2. Check the power wiring of the instrument; it was found that the technician had connected the power supply in the wrong way, so it was determined to be a wiring issue ； 3. Check whether the instrument backlight function is enabled ； 4. Check whether the display panel connector is properly connected to rule out connection issues with the display panel ； 5. Check whether the instrument current is within the correct range, and rule out any faults with the display panel ； 6. The problem was identified as early as step 2 in this fault diagnosis; steps 3, 4, and 5 can be skipped. VIII. Effective solution for the fault: After rewiring, the instrument display returns to normal. IX. Fault prevention measures and improvements: 1. Strengthen training for relevant personnel on knowledge of radar level gauge products ； 2. Strengthen the sense of responsibility among instrument operators. X.
