The reaction vessel is equipped with a PT100 thermistor, and its signal is sent to the DCS in the control room. Now there are new requirements: without changing the existing equipment, it is necessary to display the temperature on-site as well, and it’s not possible to use an integrated temperature sensor. Do any of you have any good ideas?
The simplest solution is to install an integrated temperature sensor with a temperature display on site. . . Since that’s not possible, the device has to speak again, with the previous one displayed on the spot
Add a separate transmitter; the PT100 is connected to the display unit, which provides on-site indication, while the 4-20mA signal from the display unit is sent to the DCS
The reaction vessel needs to remain at atmospheric pressure for an extended period of time; having additional openings brings many complications. There is a temperature display controller already installed on site, and the PT100 thermistor is the type equipped with an intelligent module
The signal output by this temperature smart module is connected to a digital display (installed next to the reactor), and then that digital display sends the signal to the DCS – that’s all.

This problem should be quite simple: add a tee at one of the outlets, install a bimetallic thermometer for on-site display, and that’s it.
