Jinchuan Group has obtained a patent for an automatic nitrogen replenishment system for instrument air in air compressors, enabling automatic supply of nitrogen to the instrument air system. According to information from the Intellectual Property Office dated August 13, 2025, Jinchuan Group Co., Ltd. and Jinchuan Group Chemical New Materials Co., Ltd. have been granted a patent titled “An Automatic Nitrogen Replenishment System for Instrument Air in Air Compressors”, with the approval number CN223216125U; the application was submitted in October 2024. The patent abstract indicates that this utility model discloses an automatic nitrogen replenishment system for instrument air in air compressors. It includes an air compressor, and on the instrument air pipeline at the outlet of the air compressor, an instrument air control valve, a first check valve, and an instrument air pressure transmitter are arranged in sequence. The automatic nitrogen replenishment system comprises a nitrogen generator, and on the nitrogen pipeline at the outlet of the nitrogen generator, a nitrogen control valve and a nitrogen pressure transmitter are arranged in sequence ； The nitrogen pipeline between the nitrogen control valve and the nitrogen pressure transmitter is connected to the instrument air pipeline, and a second check valve and a nitrogen supply valve are arranged in sequence on the nitrogen pipeline between the nitrogen control valve and the nitrogen pressure transmitter ； The instrument air pressure transmitter is electrically connected to the signal input terminal of the PLC programmable controller, while the signal output terminal of the PLC programmable controller is connected to the nitrogen make-up valve. By installing an interlock between the nitrogen system and the instrument air system, and utilizing the pressure difference between the two gases, the nitrogen system can automatically replenish the instrument air, ensuring the stable operation of all pneumatic valves.
