A vortex flow meter should respond only to the frequency of the vortices generated in the fluid flow; if a signal is generated merely by touching the pipe, it may be due to the meter’s excessive sensitivity to vibrations, or vibrations during installation affecting the sensor. It is necessary to check and adjust the installation and settings of the flow meter to ensure that a signal is generated only when fluid is flowing. .
