I remember that SIS instruments and DCS instruments cannot be used together, but can those instruments that are part of the control system be used alongside DCS interlocks?
Sure, they are all on the DCS side anyway, so there is no requirement to separate them. However, it is best to assess whether the reliability of the instruments in shared use can meet the DCS interlock requirements
