It was a float flow switch with dry contacts. Initially, S1-S4 were all set to position I, but the safety gate showed a red light; when the flow pointer was adjusted, the DCS status did not change between ON and OFF. Later, S3 was set to position II, and the safety gate no longer displayed a red light. Turn the on-site pointer to switch DCS ON/OFF. I wonder if dialing S3 is correct? According to the instructions, S3 is for line error detection. As far as I know, S1 outputs the inverted signal at II; when it is activated on-site, the safety gate’s LED turns yellow.

Taking the closure of output signal 1 as a reference, assuming that the on-site switch is in the closed state at this time, S1-1 (no inversion) ; If the on-site switch is in the off state at this time, it is S1-2 (reverse). S2: Define the output signal 2 of the safety gate. S2-1: Output signal 2 is the same as signal 1, COPY ; S2-2: The output signal 2 indicates an open/closed circuit alarm; the circuit is disconnected once the alarm is triggered. S3: Whether to enable circuit on/off detection. S3-1: Enabled, S3-2: Disabled. (If it is a NAMUR probe at the site, or resistances are being measured for series and parallel dry contact circuits, then activate it.) ; Otherwise, do not activate it to avoid false alarms.) S4: It doesn’t matter; it doesn’t make a difference which number is dialed.
