Is there any colleague who is familiar with BASF’s Asia-Pacific Engineering and Technology department? What do they mainly do?
The base is in Shanghai, but work is mainly done based on project locations. It is the Engineering Construction Department of BASF Asia-Pacific (mainly in China). All the management tasks on behalf of the client during project construction, from the initial technical selection, evaluation of equipment suppliers, equipment selection, design review, management of contractors during construction, to supervision during commissioning, and so on.
Is the job stable? Can I be fired after completing the project?
BASF is relatively stable; it’s jokingly referred to as a “German state-owned enterprise,” but its revenue is at a moderate to slightly high level.
At least in the next 5 to 8 years, it is expected to be on the Daya Bay integration project in Guangdong.
I’m currently working at a petrochemical design institute in the northeast; my annual salary is 140,000 yuan. Compared to BASF’s technical engineering department, which has a better career prospect?
