Introduction to mass flow meters: Mass flow meters can directly measure the mass flow rate of fluids. The measurement results are less affected by factors such as the density, temperature, pressure, and flow velocity distribution of the medium. They feature high measurement accuracy, good stability, ease of use, low maintenance requirements, strong communication capabilities, and the ability to measure multiple parameters. Currently, they are widely used in areas such as process control. Troubleshooting of mass flow meters: 1. Hardware faults: Issues such as large errors, the accumulator not displaying or not updating its value, and a blank display. 2. Improper installation can directly cause zero drift in the flow meter; for example, if a mass flow meter is installed too close to the pump outlet, the support for the sensor may not be strong enough, improper welding of the connection flanges can generate stress signals, and the cables can be affected by electromagnetic interference. 3. Wiring issues: If the monitor does not light up, check the power connection to the accumulator. If a fuse has blown, verify that the input voltage matches the specified standard voltage and that the type of voltage is consistent, whether it is AC or DC. 4. If the accumulator does not increase as flow rate rises, check its wiring. If the accumulator is equipped with a forward/reverse function, check the flow meter’s wiring, as incorrect wiring of the flow meter can prevent the accumulator from increasing during reverse flow. 5. Common issues during use include short circuits and signal loss caused by water entering the flow meter junction box or loose connections. 6. Handling method: In addition to strict standards for on-site installation, thorough regular inspections and maintenance are also necessary to prevent more serious problems such as the burnout of sensor coils due to delayed handling. 7. The transmitter circuit board is damaged; common faults include damage to the transmitter’s power supply board and signal processing/output board. 8. Handling methods: In addition to strictly standardizing the wiring of cable signals, it is also necessary to implement proper lightning protection and grounding measures. An independent voltage stabilizing power supply should be used to ensure the reliability of the power supply, thereby preventing device damage caused by large fluctuations in voltage.
