Some double-flange transmitters are designed for measuring high temperatures while others are used for measuring low temperatures. Then why is electric heating still required? Is it due to an incorrect selection? How can one distinguish between capillaries designed for low temperatures and those designed for high temperatures?
Check the specific model code; each digit represents a different element, and a change in any one digit results in slight variations in the hardware. For high and low temperatures, it mainly depends on the temperature tolerance range of the silicone oil inside the capillary, as well as the specific parameters. It is required that the ambient temperature be not lower than, and not higher than, a certain degree.
The boiling point of ordinary silicone oil is around 190 degrees; this type of silicone oil can function in temperatures ranging from -20 to 150 degrees. If the temperature in your environment is higher than this, then a special type of silicone oil is required, one that can operate in temperatures between 10 and over 200 degrees. If the ambient temperature is below 10 degrees, then heating must be provided. All of the above are assumed values; please refer to the sample for the actual details
