What salt needs to be provided? For ordinary strong electrolyte salts, within a concentration range of 5%, the relationship between conductivity and concentration is generally that of a monotonic function; therefore, it is entirely possible to measure their concentration using the conductivity method. However, if it is a weak electrolyte or the conductivity does not have a monotonic relationship with concentration within the measurement range, the conductivity method is not suitable. It is recommended to use inductive conductivity detection, as this prevents the salt solution from corroding the conductivity probe and also facilitates maintenance and calibration. As for brands, several of the major manufacturers of industrial automation instruments for water quality analysis produce such conductivity meters. Note that temperature has a significant impact on conductivity. Some manufacturers with advanced technical capabilities may provide built-in correction curves for the salt concentration you require, or built-in mathematical relationships between concentration, temperature, and conductivity, which will facilitate your use and operation. Otherwise, you will need to carry out multi-parameter matrix corrections on your own.
