The SIS system and the DCS system communicate real-time data through methods such as Modbus; real-time data can only be viewed on the DCS, while the system diagnostic information, alarm information, and SOE information from the SIS system are not accessible. Clock synchronization is not possible between the DCS and the SIS. Who knows whether the status of the interlock switching switch can be viewed on the DCS via Modbus communication? Where is the status of the normal interlock cut-in/cut-out switch stored in the SIS?
This can be done; just add the variables for communication purposes
A SIS system typically has operation stations and SOE stations. The bypass switch is a software switch in the SIS system, and it represents a custom variable of the SIS system. Generally, only the data that needs to be viewed in DCS is transmitted, while the bypass switch is not. Although it is possible to communicate with the DCS, it is only for viewing purposes; data is generally not written from the DCS to the SIS system.
