Everyone, who is familiar with fieldbus power supply for foundations? I’d like to learn more about the power supply modules. It would be best if you could help provide a brand and specific model. Thank you. Like the one in the picture, use it by yourself; there’s no need to put it in a cabinet.
I’m not quite sure what you mean. We use Bentley’s power supply module (220AC~24DC) to power the Turck network terminal boxes on site. The field instruments are powered by the network segment box. I’m not sure which part you’re referring to
Let’s put it this way: I have a gauge that uses the FF protocol, and I’m wondering how to power it – what device I can use to supply power to it. Something like the second picture I sent.
This requires consulting the manufacturer; in previous cases, the power modules of the cabinets were used to supply power to the H1 cards
For the FF bus, a specially designed power supply is required for the field side; we call it a “power modulator” module. It requires a standard 24V power supply; the modulated voltage is sent to the H1 bus, and its HOST port is connected to your host computer (or H1 card). PROFIBUS uses a similar method. MTL/P+F/STAHLL all have standard products; the attachment is an MTL designed for DIN rail installation, to facilitate your testing.
The advantage of the FF bus is that multiple instruments can be powered via a single wire and one card. I’ve never seen point-to-point power supply. I also saw it online; there should be a dedicated FF bus power supply (FF coupler). You can consult Emerson.
