As shown in the figure, for vibration sensors installed in this manner, vibration values are still displayed even when the machine is shut down, and they do not return to zero. How can this be resolved? Is it possible to reset the zero point? If so, how should it be done?
If the case can be opened, there is a potentiometer inside that allows the zero point to be adjusted; if the case cannot be opened, it’s a single unit and no adjustment is possible.

I can’t adjust this estimation myself; that large component is sealed with glue, and it has been disassembled using a chainsaw. In the end, it was replaced with a Bentley probe + preamplifier.
If adjustments need to be made, they should be done on the secondary meter; it’s not possible to do them at the probe.

To be honest, with a vibration probe, if it still shows readings after being removed, it’s basically beyond repair, as these probes are usually sealed with explosion-proof rubber inside, making them unsuitable for any maintenance. Change it; either switch to a different brand or report the issue to the manufacturer for improvement and get a replacement.
