Flexson 601, the unit bought an M probe. The M probe measures pipes with a size of 1,000 or more. The signal-to-noise ratio is very low, basically below 30. Do I need to purchase another K probe? The measuring medium is source water and tap water, which are used in pipes of water companies and are generally made of cast steel.
I bought the German Flexsen F601 handheld ultrasonic in 2013, which requires measuring pipe diameters DN50~DN1800 (commonly used above DN100), equipped with an FSM probe. At that time, I compared the German Siemens FUP1010 and the Japanese Fuji For instruments from manufacturers such as FUJIPF-C and Cologne, they must be equipped with two or more sets of probes, which is relatively expensive. Flexson's measurement range is wide and can realize a set of FSM probes to simultaneously measure pipes with diameters from DN50 to DN3400. The maximum pipe I actually use here is DN1800, carbon steel pipe, circulating water medium, Z method and V method can be installed. The signal quality is good. We usually do it once a week for 2 hours at a time, and the measurement results are basically accurate. When you use it, the signal quality is poor. You must pay attention to the fact that there must be enough straight pipe sections before and after the measurement point. The sensor position must make the pipe smooth and smooth. Ultrasonic coupling agent must be used. Whether there is scaling on the inner wall of the pipe. There is no need to purchase a set of K series probes.

According to the latest selection manual, the ideal measurement range of the M probe is 100-1000. The old version is 100-2000. When I actually measured it, I felt that the M probe for large-diameter pipes was still inadequate.
I often measure DN1800\DN1200 circulating water pipes. I also had repeated exchanges with the manufacturer's technical staff when selecting the model, and then I chose the FSM probe. The actual use effect is also good, and I have compared it with other external ultrasonic probes, and it is basically consistent with the theoretical calculation value of the pump.
