Must the calibration interval for pressure gauges that are not subject to mandatory inspection be within six months?

However, the Metrology Law and its implementing regulations state that for instruments that are not subject to mandatory calibration, it is up to the enterprises to establish their own calibration schedules for periodic inspections. I wonder whether, in the case of instruments that are not required for mandatory calibration, an annual inspection would be sufficient
Our company conducts inspections every six months.
Previously, we also conducted inspections every six months, but with 700 pressure gauges in the entire factory, the cost per calibration was 20 yuan, resulting in a total cost of 14,000 yuan for each set of inspections
Those not subject to mandatory inspection do not need to fall within this range!
Money is a minor issue; the main problem is that there’s a large amount involved, there may be risks, and one also needs to find someone qualified – it’s quite troublesome
For mandatory inspections, we strictly follow a 6-month interval. The issue now is that these third parties who are not involved in mandatory inspections might want to make money by insisting on inspections every 6 months, regardless of whether it’s mandatory or not
We hired a third-party testing service; their qualifications are fine. The cost is another issue, and the amount of work involved is indeed substantial
It is free to send pressure gauges that are subject to mandatory inspection to the local metrology office; there were documents regarding this as early as 2017. However, the inspection process is slow, and companies generally cannot wait that long.
