I have a question: the control cabinets are located in the workshop, with each cabinet room separated from the smoke exhaust fan room by one building and one hallway, covering a distance of about five meters. The smoke exhaust fans are used in case of fires. I’m not sure whether it’s necessary to consider the effects of vibration; what impacts can vibration have on DCS cabinets?
Vibration is mainly considered in terms of its impact on the control system. The impact on display accuracy can, in severe cases, accelerate component failure or looseness of contact points, leading to abnormalities in the control system. The amplitude, frequency, and acceleration of floor vibrations in the control room should meet the limitations specified by the manufacturer of the control system.
