Who provides the control logic for the new chemical plant?
Provided by the design institute; if the process is supplied by a technology company, the process package will contain instructions regarding the control components. For equipment with high control requirements, manufacturers who do not supply complete control systems will still provide the control logic
The design institute puts forward requirements, and the industrial control manufacturers cooperate to meet them.
The design institute conducts a HOZAP analysis based on the process package and provides the control logic. Then an SIL analysis is conducted to provide control based on sequential logic, and for complex logical control designs, the design institute should provide explanations of such logic. The manufacturer provides control instructions for the complete skid-mounted equipment. In simple terms, the client provides the funding and oversees the plan, the design institute offers its services, while the constructor builds according to the plans
