Installation principles for ultrasonic external level switches: 1. The two sensing probes must be installed horizontally at the same height. 2. For vertical and horizontal tanks, the distance between the centers of the sensing probes should be 1000±20 mm; for spherical tanks, this distance should be 1500±20 mm. Installation steps: 1. Determine the probe installation location. The installation height of the probe (the alarm point) is specified by the user. 2. Grind the tank wall; the grinding area should be larger than φ80mm, with a metallic shine, and it should feel smooth to the touch with no rust pits. 3. Remove the probe: Take the probe out of its packaging. Do not strike the probe, and it is prohibited to hang the probe by its cable. 4. Remove the probe protective cover; rotate the shield and the protective cover in the opposite direction to check whether the threads are stuck. Remove the metal sheet forcefully to expose the probe core and magnetic ring. 5. Fit the sealing ring: Bend the groove of the sealing ring toward the probe, put on the sealing ring, and position the protruding magnetic ring. 6. Apply coupling agent: Apply a coupling agent layer 1.5–2 mm thick on the probe core. 7. Attach the probe: Hold the shielding cover in your hand, press one side of it against the installation edge, and then slowly allow the probe to adhere to the installation surface. 8. Sealing: Tighten the cover properly and compress the sealing ring. Apply the sealant to tightly cover the gaps in the sealing ring, in a circular pattern. 9. Seal the rear end of the probe by inserting a T-shaped sealing gasket into the threaded connection. 10. Repeat the above steps to install another probe.
