Regarding the issue of the control cabinet location

The flameproof local control cabinet includes a valve island and remote IO functions. The discharge outlet at the top of the tank, located 1.5 meters away, is classified as Zone 1. I prefer to place the control cabinet in Zone 2, as well as as close as possible to the pneumatic valves. This would mean placing it in the space between the tanks, which means having to avoid the area 1.5 meters away from the discharge outlet. Since the distance between the tanks isn’t very large, the distance from the control cabinet to Zone 1 might be only about one meter. I wonder if anyone has considered placing the control cabinet in that location. Also, the ditch on the ground in the reservoir area is Area 1; can the control cabinet be mounted on the wall next to the ditch? As a supplementary note, it is planned to be placed on the maintenance corridor on top of the tank; the distance between this maintenance corridor and the top of the tank is less than one meter
Is your jar that short? The control cabinet, when placed on the ground, should also be kept at a distance of 1.5 meters, right?
I don’t understand what you mean. There is a maintenance corridor on top of the tank, and the distance between the top of the tank and that maintenance corridor is less than one meter
The control cabinet won’t be placed in the tank top corridor, right? If you put it on the floor, isn’t that sufficient to meet the requirements?
It can be placed as long as it is not in Zone 1. As for protective measures (such as sun protection), they need to be determined based on the specific conditions on site. Reference: SH/T3092-2013 – DCS cabinets or enclosures should not be installed in Zones 0 and 1
Place them in the corridor on top of the tank, near the valves; for now we won’t consider that option. Put them all in the outer corridor – if it means a greater distance, then so be it
Strictly follow the regulations set out in the control room guidelines – safety is no trivial matter. Moreover, the cost of subsequent technical upgrades for the cabinet is very high
