I urgently need a remote-operated magnetic flap level gauge with SIL2 certification, thank you!
Are you referring to a level gauge that has both remote transmission capability and on-site indication (such as a magnetic flip gauge)? There are indeed integrated versions, but they don’t seem to work well (I’ve forgotten the brand name). It’s recommended to use a magnetic flip switch paired with a high-quality reed switch, or a two-color level indicator
Why use a magnetic flip valve for SIL2 applications? To enable remote transmission for magnetic flap switches, a reed switch must be used externally; however, this type of component has moderate reliability. Although it is cheaper, it is not a worthwhile choice.
Ordinary remote-transmission magnetic flap gauges are acceptable, but since this is a SIL2-level application, it’s better to use another type – remote-transmission magnetic flaps do not have high reliability
