Issues with communication in GE systems

At present, our company is using a triple-redundant SIS system from GE. During inspections, it was found that the R cards in all of the redundant modules were showing a red flashing ATTN indicator, and the Diag lights on all controllers were also flashing red. Checking the system configuration shows a TIMEOUT in group R; it is currently suspected to be a problem with the IONET network switch, but the communication lights on the entire switch are flashing normally. GE’s PLC business was sold to Emerson in 2019; the 9070 series was discontinued in 2011. The GMR is essentially three units of the 9070 series. There are very few units still in use today, and no after-sales service is available anymore.
