RJ2S-CL-D24 cannot be used at 220V

This post was last edited by liu530014416 on 2022-6-18 09:04. Without thinking much about it, the RJ2S-CL-D24 relay was used with a 220V supply; as a result, the relay made humming noises, and after about 20 seconds its coil burned out.
Just by looking at this ladder diagram, it’s not possible to tell anything; unless I0.0 and I0.4 keep being switched on and off, that will cause Q0.6 to turn on, right?
The relay used for frequent operations has been replaced with a solid-state one; there seems to be no issue from a programming perspective. Q0.6 outputs frequently, which means that I0.0 or I0.4 is closing and opening repeatedly.
D24 refers to a relay coil that is powered by 24V DC; the contacts can be either DC or AC, as long as their capacity is within the permitted range.
