Magnetic flap level gauges are used in negative pressure (-90 Kpa) systems; the float is constantly affected by the negative pressure, causing it to rise rapidly before falling back down, and over time this can lead to damage to the float. Trying to reduce the opening of the manual valve at the top of the magnetic flap did not yield significant results. The tank has a dual-level system, equipped with radar and magnetic flap level gauges. I’m asking for other ways to solve this problem, or whether there are special magnetic flap level gauges designed for negative pressure systems.

In my opinion, what needs to be considered in this situation is the following: First, it’s necessary to determine whether magnetic flip switches must indeed be used. If the design specifications and safety regulations require the use of magnetic flip switches, then it’s necessary to figure out how to adjust these switches – specifically, whether it’s possible to change from side-mounted magnetic flip switches to top-mounted ones. Secondly, if magnetic flap switches are not required, a double-flange differential pressure level gauge can be considered; however, if the negative pressure is unstable, the measurement values will also be distorted, but it won’t result in complete failure of the device.
This -95 model of mine hasn’t experienced this issue either; the quality of the magnetic flip plate is poor, and the float ball is designed based on the actual density
