After closing the inlet valve, an Rosemount 8705 electromagnetic flowmeter still indicated an instantaneous flow rate of 1400–1500 L/H (with a range of 0–1500 L/H). When the inlet valve was opened, the instantaneous flow rate gradually increased from 100. The flow meter is grounded; the other 3 units of model 8705 at the same location do not have this issue.
