Which is more technologically advanced: the paramagnetic oxygen analyzer or the Mettler Toledo GPro500 laser oxygen analyzer? How is a paramagnetic oxygen analyzer installed? Do I insert it inside the device like a thermometer?
The two detection methods have different principles. Paramagnetic ones are cheaper. However, sampling is required; an analysis cabinet must be installed on-site, and instrument air, nitrogen, heating, UPS power, mains electricity, and so on are also needed, making installation and maintenance rather complicated. The direct installation of lasers is treated as a device that requires external power supply; however, it generally needs a large pipe diameter. If this requirement isn’t met, the piping must be modified or a model with multiple reflections used.
