Just because a transmitter of this kind exists does not mean it can necessarily be connected to a 24VDC power supply, as the power supply in the transmitter’s power circuit cannot supply power to any other loads other than the transmitter itself (with the exception of display instruments connected in series with such two-wire, non-bus transmitters for signal indication). The power supply for these two-wire transmitters may be located in a control room or field control station that is quite far away, even several kilometers distant. For the 24VDC power supply you need, if a load is to be connected, additional wiring is required; in the case of two-wire instruments, the power supply is usually provided directly through an analog signal input card.
