There are 4 cooling fans on the cabinet, and they aren’t connected to a power supply. I would like to know what the typical supply voltage is in volts, and how to connect the wires.
Cabinet fans generally use 12V DC power. There are usually two ways to make the connections: 1. If the fan comes with a standard 3-pin or 4-pin connector, it can be directly plugged into the corresponding fan port on the motherboard (such as SYS_FAN, CHA_FAN, etc.). 2. If separate power supply is required or there is no motherboard connector, a power cable with the appropriate connector (such as a 4-pin Molex adapter) can be used to draw power from the power supply. Make sure to connect the wires correctly according to the markings on the fan or the instructions in the manual, to avoid reversing the connections. .
Cabinet manufacturers should include corresponding instructions in the manual, as well as guidance for installation
No instructions or nameplate were seen; there are two black wires coming out, which are said to be 220AC
Products with labels on the fan definitely have specifications; if they aren’t visible, they might be on the other side – the fan can be taken apart to check. For products without any markings, it’s recommended to disassemble them before using them~
Most instrument cabinets use 220VAC power, while some use 24VDC
All those I’ve used are 220V, powered by a separate circuit from the mains electricity used for cabinet lighting, separated from the power required by the cabinets!
The fan has a brand label, and it is generally 12V
