What does external cold junction compensation mean inside the thermocouple temperature change safety barrier, as is often mentioned? I understand that in the UT2 software, the Internal (K-CJC) cold-end temperature compensation requires a compensation terminal; the temperature changing with room temperature represents internal compensation, whereas Ext.Ref.Temp is external compensation – the room temperature is entered in the software and remains constant. I’m not sure if it’s correct?
There is another question: can KCD2-UT2-EX1 be compensated both internally and externally?
