Vortex flowmeters are indeed primarily used for measuring gases; for liquids with low viscosity such as pure water, electromagnetic flowmeters or ultrasonic flowmeters can be chosen. These two types of flowmeters provide high accuracy in measuring pure water, and are not affected by significant changes in the medium. .
For general measurements, contact the design institute to have a vortex flow meter installed; for applications related to feed ratio control, a mass flow meter is used.
