Troubleshooting of radar level gauges in oil depots: 1. First, it is necessary to check whether the set value for the maximum oil level indicated by the radar level gauge on the tank top matches the level setting value in the PLC program. If the parameters set for these two values differ from each other, it will result in inaccurate display on the interface. 2. Check whether there are any issues with the display of the radar level gauge itself. Calculations are performed by using the proportional relationship between the high liquid level value set by the radar level gauge and the corresponding current value output. Check whether the instantaneous current value output corresponds accurately to the actual liquid level in the oil tank. If there is an error, it indicates a problem with the radar level gauge itself, and further checks of its other parameter settings are required. If it is confirmed that all parameter settings are correct, contact the after-sales service personnel of the radar level gauge to resolve any related issues. Additionally, users should pay special attention to the fact that if the cause of the malfunction cannot be determined, they should not disassemble the device on their own to avoid damaging the components. 3. Check whether there are any issues with the signal transmission lines. 4. Although the empty height value of the radar level gauge is a fixed measurement value, errors in the original input data can also lead to inaccurate display on the PLC interface. If conditions permit, it is recommended that the end-users conduct an accurate measurement of the radar altitude value of the tank, as this will be very helpful for future maintenance work.
