A reactor weighs 20 tons, and the maximum amount of material used during normal production is 1 ton. How should the measurement range of the weighing module be specified? A. 0~22 tons B. 0~2 tons C. 20~22 tons. During production, it’s only necessary to control the weight of the material; I’m a bit unsure about this. Feel free to share your opinions and guidance.
The correct answer is A. 0~22 tons. This is because the weighing instrument needs to cover the weight of the reactor itself plus the maximum weight of the material, so the range should be from 0 tons to 22 tons. .
For 0-2 tons, the load cell generates a millivolt voltage in proportion to the pressure or force it experiences, under a constant voltage. However, this voltage is not linear; unlike in PT100 temperature measurement systems where only one resistor changes, and thus the value of that resistor is linearly related to the voltage. The generated voltage, after being processed by a specific chip to be linearized, yields a digital value that is proportional to the applied force. With a weight of 1 ton, it’s possible to take the weight of the empty tank as 0, and then place a 1-ton weight there to set it at 1 ton. In this way, the weighing transmitter can determine the value per kilogram by comparing the reading when the tank is empty with the reading after adding 1 ton. Setting the range to 2 tons provides some margin, as the weight value can drift over time. When the tank is empty, if it is not zero, it can be reset to 0.
I don’t quite understand what it means. If you need to purchase modules for creating a data table, you definitely need to consider several modules: 3 modules make it easier to achieve balance, while 4 modules make it more complicated. After installation, once it’s confirmed that there are no issues with the soft connections, then the zero point is set. For production, if each batch of material in the silo or reactor amounts to around 4 tons, then setting the range to 6 tons will suffice
For the weighing module, it is advisable to choose one with a pressure capacity of over 22 tons; as for how you will use it, it’s simply a matter of zero-point calibration.
