To prevent interference, what are the required safety distances between signal cables and power cables in different situations such as when they cross or run parallel, as well as under varying voltage levels? How are voltages classified? For example, below 220V, 220V-500V, 500V-1000V
For example, what are the requirements regarding the distance between kilovolt cables and communication cables? I checked some standards and found that the required distances are quite simple; it seems that the issue of interference resistance isn’t taken into account
1. Regulations on the minimum safe clearance between communication cables and power cables: – In the case of intersection: when low-voltage power lines intersect with communication cables, a minimum vertical distance of 0.5 meters is generally required. - In parallel cases: Generally, when laid parallel to each other, the minimum safe distance between them is 1 meter. 2. Safe distance between signal cables and power cables: - In the case of crossing: - For voltages below 220V, the general safe distance is 0.25–0.5 meters. - 220V-500V: Safe distance is approximately 0.5-0.75 meters. - 500V-1000V: Safe distance is approximately 0.75-1 meter. - Parallel situation: - Below 220V: The general safety distance is 0.5–1 meter. - 220V-500V: Safe distance is approximately 1-2 meters. - 500V-1000V: Safety distance of about 2-3 meters.
