The attachment bg2.png shows the function of the explosion-proof disc on the cover of the Fisher DVC6200 locator.
The DVC6200 digital valve controller is an electrical positioner based on a communication microprocessor. In addition to its traditional function of converting the input current signal into an electrical output voltage, the DVC6200 can communicate via HART® 5 or 7, WirelessHART®, FIELDBUS™ fieldbus, or PROFIBUS communication protocols, allowing users to easily access information related to process operations.
It is possible to obtain information on the main components of the process as well as details regarding the control valves themselves, by using a hand controller connected to the wiring terminals of the locator or the field wiring box, or by utilizing a personal computer or operator console in the control room. In addition, it provides an option: a valve position transmitter (for independent valve position feedback) and an integrated limit switch (which can be set as a limit switch or an alarm switch).
The DVC6200 intelligent electrical valve positioner is an upgraded version of Fisher’s original DVC6010 positioner, DVC6020 valve positioner, and DVC6030 intelligent valve controller. The DVC6200 series of intelligent electrical valve positioners offer greater performance improvements over the original DVC6000 series positioners. Currently, the DVC6200 valve positioners are classified electrically as: DVC6200 HART, DVC6200 F, and DVC6200 Foundation Fieldbus and Profibus.
Improved security: The DVC6200 digital valve controller is a HART™ communication device, allowing access to information from any location in the circuit. This flexibility reduces the likelihood of the equipment coming into contact with hazardous environments, and facilitates an easy assessment of whether it is difficult to reach the target position for the valve.
Faster debugging: It enables customers to use various debugging tools to quickly debug the circuits on local or remote valve components.
Easy to maintain: The DVC6200 features a modular design. Key working components can be replaced without having to remove the on-site wiring and pneumatic pipelines.
