Dear experts, the mass flow meter in the neutralization unit of the water reducer (EOD) system, located in the tank area, shows a flow rate of over 4200 KG/H each time delivery is completed and the valve is closed. The inspection indicates that the drive gain is close to 99%; it is preliminarily assumed that there is a mixture of gas and liquid inside the flow meter, with residual material remaining in it after the feeding process is finished. The flow meter has a measurement range of 0–150,000 KG/H; it takes 15 minutes to feed 32 tons of material. Once feeding is complete, the flow meter stops working and becomes active again only when feeding starts once more. How can the issue of low flow readings displayed by the flow meter when there is no flow be resolved? Note: The flow meter operates stably during normal material feeding.
Ask the manufacturer about this; generally, a low-flow cut-off value is set. If the flow rate remains high even when the valve is closed, inquire with the manufacturer as to whether that parameter can be adjusted
