Every component of a radar level gauge has its own function and role, and it is necessary to use them in strict accordance with the requirements. Furthermore, a balance hole with an inner diameter of 20 millimeters must be drilled every 500 millimeters, and the eccentricity of such holes must be within 0.5 degrees. Furthermore, the welding of each waveguide section to the next is done using a sleeve welding method, with a gap of less than 1 millimeter, an eccentricity within 1 degree, and a straightness within 0.5:100. The top flange of the guide tube on which the radar level gauge is installed should be equipped with a flange corresponding to the equipment, and markings should be made in advance on this flange along the direction of the centerline of the balance hole in the guide tube; these markings must align with the marking holes on the gauge’s flange. The specific requirement for the flange is that its installation level deviation must be less than +/−1 degree. A reference pin is installed on the waveguide at a position about 2.5 meters away from the mounting flange.
