Has anyone used a one-input two-output current distributor? Not the type with transmitters for two outputs; it’s the one with one input of 4-20mA and two outputs of 4-20mA. Those who have used it could please share their experiences
I can’t remember the model. In typical centralized control system applications, once a signal arrives, it is divided into two streams, which are sent to the DCS and the centralized control system respectively. We use a HIMA system.
There are Phoniex connectors available, and many domestic ones as well

What the poster is referring to is likely the ICC312 isolator. This is generally used in chain system applications, with data going separately to the DCS and the chain system. We use only imported products, made in London.

In simple terms, points that are directly connected to hardware as part of the configuration are hard points, while points that do not actually exist or are intermediate in nature can be referred to as soft points. Just my personal opinion!
Reply to 9# yunya753: Hardwired instrumentation refers to the transmission of instrument signals in a point-to-point manner via cables and terminal connections; it is the opposite of signal transmission through communication using certain protocols.

I understand the concept of hard wiring versus soft wiring; what I don’t understand is what was said on floor 2, namely that “in typical integrated system applications, once a signal arrives, it is divided into two parts, which are sent to the DCS and the integrated system respectively.” Since it’s common practice among DCS manufacturers these days to use soft wiring for interlocking functions, then why use hard wiring for that purpose?
