The main ways of utilizing lignite (low-grade coal) include gasification, upgrading for clean power generation and heat production, as well as pyrolysis for combined production. What kind of furnace is used for water-coal slurry? How is the pulping quality?

You mentioned it’s just said to be so; seeing is believing. To be honest, we have also used Shenhua’s high-quality coal, but currently the water-coal slurry produced from ordinary lignite is quite stable. We are constantly working to increase the concentration of the slurry – the designed concentration is 53.4%, and we manage to achieve 51% as well; the plant operates quite stably. The advantage here is that coal is cheap.
The Datang Hulunbuir 1830 fertilizer project utilizes the first-generation Tsinghua furnace technology (slag-free–slag-separated oxygenation water-coal slurry gasification). It uses Dongming lignite from Hulunbuir as raw material; the concentration of the water-coal slurry made from this lignite is only 45-46%. With the switch to Zalainuer lignite for production, the concentration of the water-coal slurry has risen to 48-49%.
