Does anyone know about the Fussam deamination process? Why is the desorption tower heated directly with steam? Is it just because the reboiler is clogged?

The decomposition of ammonium phosphate into ammonia and phosphoric acid is an endothermic process that requires a certain temperature, and steam is used to provide this heat; 2.
