This post was last edited by wangshaobo on 2017-1-20 at 14:12. The volatiles content of the coal fed into the furnace is around 30–32; does this value refer to an analysis basis or a combustible basis (on a dry, ash-free basis)?
The term volatile matter commonly referred to is the volatile matter on a dry, ash-free basis, that is: Vdaf.
Generally, for coal and coke from the same plant, the same basis is used, which should be on a dry, ash-free basis.
