On February 8, 2017, it was learned that the energy-saving assessment report for the energy-saving renovation project of the production system at the Wenxi branch of Shanxi Jinfeng Coal Chemical Co., Ltd. had been approved by the Economic and Information Technology Commission of Yuncheng City, Shanxi. The project utilizes 2.5Mpa pressurized continuous gasification technology to upgrade the gas generation process of Unit 1’s ammonia synthesis system at the Jinfeng Wenxi branch; simultaneously, the subsequent conversion and desulfurization units are also modified accordingly. The upgraded production system, together with Unit 2’s ammonia synthesis system, forms one low-pressure methanol synthesis plant with an annual capacity of 80,000 tons.
