I started working in gasification process management and production management 16 years ago. In 2004, when coal-water slurry gasification was first put into operation, we tried to find an expert to help with its operation, but couldn’t do so; therefore I had to lead my team through all the challenges on our own. It has been a very difficult journey – working in gasification is truly tough!

The oldest and most charming one is probably in Jiehua, Yunnan; it likely has a history of over 60 years. At that time, synthetic ammonia and urea were produced on a scale of 20,000 tons per year using Ende reactors and GBL reactors with fixed beds.

I’m a person who works in gasification; I’ve been involved in two gasification units and have been working for six years now. The shift work is tough, but I have to keep going. These days, there are fewer opportunities for young people, so it’s important to accumulate experience and keep growing! Our old factory was TEXACO from the 1970s; that’s three or four decades now.
