Our company has successfully developed an efficient heat recovery ascending tube for the sensible heat of waste gas from coal coking ovens. After half a year of operation in 7-meter coking ovens, over 19 cycles totaling 621 hours and 39 minutes, including periods of up to 14 days and 18 hours of dry operation, the system was still able to operate smoothly at a pressure of 2.0 MPa. It withstood tests at various pressure levels of 3.68, 3.5, 2.5, 2.2, 2.0, 1.8, 1.6, and 0.8 MPa, achieving a gas production rate of 90–100 kg per ton of coke at a pressure of 2.2 MPa. This technology overcomes the problem of high-temperature corrosion materials, eliminates coking, prevents coking in the rising tubes, and makes maintenance easier (only high-pressure air blowing is required). This technology enables high-quality waste heat recovery of the sensible heat in raw gas. During this promotion phase, we welcome the assistance of friends from coking plants to maximize the recovery of the sensible heat in waste gas, thereby achieving mutual energy-saving benefits. The system investment for coke ovens of different scales and at different recovery pressures varies, with the payback period being within 2 to 5 years.
Please understand. Different furnace types have different rising tubes, which affects the cost; moreover, different pressure levels also result in varying costs for the systems. Therefore, it is somewhat difficult to answer the question of how much investment is required.
The investment can be recovered within 2.5 years, giving it a fairly good return on investment; moreover, its environmental and social benefits are also very significant.

As far as I know, the new advanced technologies in use involve seamless alloy pipes, nano-coatings, and self-cleaning materials, which result in very low levels of scaling. The designed equipment lifespan is 10 years ; It seems that it has been in mature use at Fujian Sansteel and Wuhan Iron and Steel for several years now. The reaction effect is pretty good
After implementation, the rising tube no longer requires the use of a soldering iron to remove slag for maintenance; now, high-pressure air alone is sufficient for cleaning it. No coking.
In the event of corrosion, it serves to prevent the ceramic from cracking or falling off; in the case of the metal surface exposed to raw gas, the metal can become corroded and ineffective within basically a week, as has been verified in existing cases. After 19 instances of dry burning, as well as undergoing numerous cycles of thermal expansion and contraction, it can be considered to have an infinite service life. Half a year of practical testing has shown that the riser can have a service life of over 8 years under conditions of constant water supply and constant pressure (analogous to the assessment of boiler tube replacement life in China). Moreover, with full protection of the rising pipe, there are no harsh operating conditions for the boiler tubes. In other words, under full protection, the operating conditions of the rising tube heat exchanger are better than those of the boiler tubes, and its service life can fully match that of the boiler tubes; it is even normal for it to exceed their service life.
Dry quenching coke desalinated water is used, so scaling does not occur. Discharge must also be carried out regularly and continuously. Ensure water quality. It has strict requirements regarding water quality.
