As the title suggests, in coal water slurry gasification, the oxygen pipeline splits into two branches before reaching the process burner: one branch goes to the outer epoxy part of the burner, and the other goes to the central oxygen supply of the burner. Some units install orifice plates on the epoxy pipelines outside the burner, while others do not. Is it necessary to install an external epoxy orifice plate?
Let me start by sharing my views. The outer epoxy pipeline, from where it branches off from the central oxygen line to the point where it enters the burner, consists essentially of a single pipe section; the main obstacles in this pipeline are a large-angle, large-radius elbow and a check valve. In contrast, the central oxygen pipeline has two 90° elbows from the branching point to the burner entrance, along with a large-angle elbow and a check valve, which constitute the main obstacles. As a result, the resistance in the central oxygen pipeline is greater than that in the outer epoxy pipeline, which leads to insufficient pressure difference for the central oxygen to reach the burner, thereby reducing its ability to be adjusted. This issue becomes more apparent under high load conditions in the gasifier. Therefore, adding a orifice plate to the outer epoxy is intended to increase the pressure difference of the central oxygen entering the burner, thereby enhancing its ability to adjust under high load conditions; I believe it is necessary to install such an orifice plate.
It is extremely necessary; in simple terms, it is about adjusting the direct-current air and swirl air, otherwise the burnout rate will be too poor!
I agree with the view from the second floor; it is mainly to ensure an adequate amount of oxygen in the reactor, to facilitate the atomization of the coal slurry, and to improve reaction efficiency.
