There are two considerations in the calculation of the regenerator chamber. 1. Heat exchange area. This is the most important thing; you must ensure good heat exchange. 2. Regenerator resistance. The common approach in China is to determine, based on the existing furnace design, whether the heat exchange area is sufficient and whether there are any effects due to resistance. Generally, there is a margin in the height of the regenerator chamber. But under normal circumstances, the height of the regenerator is not adjusted either. Making adjustments will involve a large amount of subsequent changes. Therefore, under normal circumstances, once the furnace type is determined, the height of the regenerator is also fixed.
